Tour Eiffel

At only few minutes from Le Bailli, the Eiffel Tower is one of the most visited spots in the world.

It was built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, which was to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the French Revolution

The Eiffel Tower is an architectural and mechanical feat. Designed to remain standing for only 20 years, it was continually kept in place due to technological needs (radiographic then radiophonic transmissions) to finally become a symbol of Parisian cultural influence and French daring.

Over the decades, the Eiffel Tower has seen remarkable achievements, extraordinary light shows, and prestigious visitors. A mythical and audacious site, it has always inspired artists and challenges.

Today the Eiffel Tower welcomes more than 7 million visitors every year who come to admire Paris from above. Climbing up to its summit is full of surprises, no matter the floor as you will always have an exceptional panoramic view of Paris or have the possibility to enjoy French gastronomy at the tower’s 1st and 2nd floor restaurants, check out an exhibition on the Iron Lady or simply wait until nightfall when the city lights up just below your feet.
